Jim and Karen are second generation
funeral service providers. Jim grew up the son of a funeral director and embalmer in Millstadt, Illinois.
Following graduation from Belleville Township High School West in 1969 he enrolled at Southern Illinois University, Carbondale
in the Mortuary Science program. Jim graduated with his degree in Mortuary Science in 1971 and was licensed in the State
of Illinois as a funeral director and embalmer in November of 1972. In 1986 he was licensed as a funeral director and
embalmer in the State of Missouri. Jim and Karen purchased the funeral home in 2004 following the death of Jim’s
father. Jim’s mother, Ann, is still an active member of our funeral service family, working in our accounting
department and as a funeral service assistant.
They
were married in August, 1976. Karen’s father also worked in funeral service for many years until his passing.
Jim and Karen are the parents of two daughters, Krista and husband, Terry Delaney and Shanna and husband, Francis Auer.
They are the very proud grandparents of Austin, Isaac, Nathanael, Sarah and Carolyn Delaney and Noah Auer.
