Seitz Funeral Homes, L.L.C. has been family owned and operated since 1979. Understanding and caring professionalism is what makes Seitz unique. Being family owned we can take the time to address each family's individual needs and make their service unique and personalized.

Dallas Seitz began his career in the funeral industry in 1956. His interest in the industry led him to Worsham College of Mortuary Science where he graduated in 1961 with a degree in Mortuary Science. He worked in Decatur until he and his wife Nancy purchased two funeral homes, located in Moweaqua and Assumption, in 1979. Nancy has played an important part in meeting the day to day demands of the business in addition to being the office manager. Dallas was recently recognized by the Illinois Funeral Directors Association for being licensed in the State of Illinois for 40 years.

Michael Seitz, son of Dallas and Nancy, joined the family business in 1989 after receiving a B.S. from Illinois Wesleyan University in Business Administration and a degree in Mortuary Science from Southern Illinois University. Craig Collins joined the firm in 1990 after graduating from S.I.U. with a degree in Mortuary Science. Mary Aylmer joined the firm in 2001. She handles most of the secretarial duties.
