Betty Jayrene Head Butler

Betty Jayrene Head Butler, age 84, of Tompkinsville, passed away Wednesday, January 11, 2012 at the Monroe County Medical Center in Tompkinsville.

She was born December 10, 1927 in Monroe County, KY to the late Dewey Head and Alta Blythe Head.  She was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church of Tompkinsville.  She was the widow of Joe Fred Butler, Sr.

She is survived by one son and friend: Joe Fred Butler, Jr. and Betty Jo Hall, one daughter and son-in-law: Carolyn and Steve Curtis all of Tompkinsville, three brothers: J. D. Head of Indianapolis, Jack Head and Paul Head both of Tompkinsville, four sisters:  Eva Bryant of Greenwood, IN, Cecil Brown of Tompkinsville, Georgia Myatt of Glasgow, Isa Helen Richardson of Indianapolis, IN, one grandson and fiance: Brad Curtis and Rajena Judd of Louisville, KY

In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by two brothers: Edward and Tommy Head.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, January 14, at 11:00 AM at Strode Funeral Home in Tompkinsville with burial to follow in the Monroe County Memorial Lawn.

Visitation will be after 11:00 AM on Friday, January 13 at Strode Funeral Home in Tompkinsville

Memorials are suggested to the Center Point Cemetery or Poplar Log Cemetery.
