Olene Wade McPherson

Olene Wade McPherson, age 86, of Tompkinsville, passed away Friday, January 27, 2012 at the Monroe Health & Rehab Center in Tompkinsville.

She was born September 11, 1925 in Metcalfe County, KY to the late Levie Thomas “Jack” Wade and Leta Kesslar Wade. She was a retired factory and postal worker and member on Mt. Gilead Church of Christ. She was the widow of Reed McPherson.

She is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law: Larry and Sandra McPherson and Michael and Charlotte McPherson all of Tompkinsville, Ronnie and Shirley McPherson of Gamaliel, one sister: Kathylene Wade Tade of Tompkinsville

In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by two brothers: Frank and Leroy Wade.

Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, January 29 at 1:30 PM at Strode Funeral Home in Tompkinsville with burial to follow in the Monroe County Memorial Lawn.

Visitation will be after 4:00 PM on Saturday, January 28 at Strode Funeral Home in Tompkinsville
