Emons B. Johnson

Emons B. Johnson, age 86, of the Lamb Community of Monroe County, passed away Sunday, October 23, 2011 at The Medical Center at Scottsville.

He was born December 5, 1924 in Monroe County, KY to the late Winson B. Johnson and Velma Samson Johnson. He was a retired farmer and a member of the New Design Baptist Church. He was united in marriage to Audrey K. Thomas on April 15, 1948 at Mt. Hermon, KY. He was a WW II Veteran and a member of DAV Chapter 20 of Glasgow.

He is survived by his wife Audrey Thomas Johnson, one son and daughter-in-law: Mike and Sandy Johnson all of Lamb, one sister: Gaynell Milburn of Ft. Run,

One step grandchild: Tamra Lovell of Bowling Green and one nephew: Roger Milburn of Ft. Run.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother-in-law: Roy Milburn

Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, October 25 at 2:00 PM at Strode’s Gamaliel Chapel with burial to follow in the Neal Cemetery with Military Rites performed at graveside by DAV Chapter 20 of Glasgow.

Friends may call after 5:00 PM on Monday at Strode’s Gamaliel Chapel in Gamaliel
