Martha Thompson Cooper, age 81, of Louisville, formerly of Monroe County, KY, passed away Wednesday, October 26, 2011 in Louisville.

She was born December 9, 1929 in Monroe County, KY to the late Brance Thompson and Fannie Bell Cain Thompson .She was a homemaker and a member of the Church of Christ. She was the wife of Wayne Cooper.

She is survived by her husband: Wayne Cooper of Louisville, two sons and two daughters-in-law: Gregory Cooper of Glasgow, KY, Donald Cooper, Sr. and Melissa of Louisville, Joan Cooper of Louisville, two daughters and sons-in-law: Regina and Troy Taylor of Louisville, Shirley and Larry King of Bowling Green, KY, two brothers: Wiley Thompson of  Nobelsville, IN, Estes Thompson of Indianapolis, IN, one sister: Pearl McGuire of Pendleton, IN

9 grandchildren  21 great-grandchildren

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one son: Craig Cooper, six brothers: Walter B., Miley, J.C., Junior, Newman and Jessie Frank Thompson, two sisters: Roxie Spears, Alene Capps Urban and 4 grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, October 29 at 12:00 PM at  Strode Funeral Home in Tompkinsville with burial to follow in the Bailey Cemetery.
