IN MEMORY OF:
Ancil Proffitt

Ancil Proffitt, age 74, of Tompkinsville, passed away Wednesday, November 2, 2011 at Greenview Regional Hospital in Bowling Green.

He was born August 26, 1937 in Monroe County, KY to the late Amos Proffitt and Zadie Arterburn Proffitt.  He was a retired carpenter and of the Baptist faith.

He is survived by one son: Johnny  Proffitt of Holland, KY, two daughters: Shelia Proffitt and Tammy Nifong both of Tompkinsville, one brother: Ollis Proffitt of Tompkinsville, Companion: Ruby Pedigo of Tompkinsville, Extended family: Allie Harrington of Rineyville, KY, Angelina Carlisle of Tompkinsville, Ricky Pedigo of Glasgow, Randy Pedigo of Lafayette, TN and Reggie Pedigo of Monticello,KY 9 Grandchildren   1 great grandchild

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers: Lynn and Norvell Proffitt, three sisters: Eddith Brandon, Zelma Jackson and Emma Simpson, son-in-law: James Nifong.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday, November 4 at 10:30 AM at Strode’s Gamaliel Chapel in Gamaliel with burial to follow in the Gamaliel Cemetery.

Friends may call after 2:00 PM on Thursday at Strode’s Gamaliel Chapel in Gamaliel.

Memorials are suggested to the Gamaliel Cemetery.
