IN MEMORY OF:
Geneva Turner Cropper

Geneva Turner Cropper, age 92, of Gamaliel, passed away Wednesday, November 9, 2011 at her home.

She was born July 14, 1919 in Macon County, TN to the late Hayden Turner and Lora Ferguson Turner.  She was a member of Bethany Missionary Baptist Church, attended Sadlers Chapel United Methodist Church, member of Sadlers Chapel UMC Womens Group, member of Bugtussle Old Rocky Hill Homemakers and former owner and operator of Cropper’s Market in Bugtussle. She was the widow of Ray Cropper who died December 6, 1998. They were married March 9, 1940.

She is survived by two daughters: Linda Sue Cropper of Tompkinsville, Joyce Ann Hale of Gamaliel, one sister: Faye West of Lafayette, TN, one sister-in-law: Margie Turner of Red Boiling Spgs., TN, several nieces and nephews also survive.

In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by two brothers: Paul and Foy Turner, one sister: Agnes Copass and an infant brother.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, November 12, 2011 at 1:00 PM at Strode’s Gamaliel Chapel in Gamaliel with burial to follow in the Gamaliel Cemetery.

Friends may call after 1:00 PM on Friday at Strode’s  Gamaliel Chapel in Gamaliel.

Memorials are suggested to the American Heart Association, Sadlers Chapel United Methodist Church or Gamaliel Cemetery.
