Patricia Elaine Goolsby Smith, age 50, of Scottsville,
formerly of Gamaliel, passed away Saturday, November 19, 2011 at The Medical Center @ Bowling Green.
She was born
February 23, 1961 in Muncie, IN to the late Floyd Goolsby and Pernie Harper Goolsby. She was a computer programmer for Owensboro
Mercy Health Systems and a member of Scottsville First United Methodist Church. She was a graduate of WKU, a member of Math
Honor Society WKU and a member of the United Methodist Women Local and District Conference. She was united in marriage
on December 31, 1981 to Philip Daniel Smith.
She is survived by her husband: Philip Daniel Smith of Scottsville,
two daughters and one son-in-law: Jessica Leigh Smith of Washington, DC, Sara Elaine and Rey Rosales of Lexington, KY,
two sisters and brothers-in-law: Sue and Bob Simmons of Waxahachie, TX, Vivian and Joe Fox of Indianapolis, IN, three
brothers and two sisters-in-law: Terry Lee and Diane Goolsby of Eustis, FL, Kerry Ross and Linda Goolsby of Tuson, AZ, Carroll
Ray Goolsby of Gamaliel, several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews also survive.
In addition to her parents she
was preceded in death by a brother: Jerry Lane Goolsby.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday, November 21
at 1:00 PM at the Gamaliel United Methodist Church in Gamaliel with burial to follow in the Gamaliel Cemetery.
Friends
may call after 4:00 PM on Sunday at Strode’s Gamaliel Chapel in Gamaliel.
